Bankin
61,000 installs, and above all 15,000 banks connected
An always-on display campaign since 2022, optimised on an action rather than a download: the moment the user finally links their bank account to the app.
The context
Bankin is a French account aggregation app: it brings together accounts held at several banks in one place, and turns them into budget tracking.
This model moves the tipping point. An install is worthless until the user has linked at least one bank, and that is precisely the costly step: it means handing bank access to an app you have only just discovered. Between the download and the connection, there is a decision.
So the question was about that step: how do you buy install volume that gets past the bank connection, rather than installs that stop at the welcome screen?
What we did
One continuous thread, not a series of waves: the campaign has been running since 2022, in display, in an RTB environment. Three formats share the delivery: interstitial, square and MPU.
The optimisation target is neither the install nor the sign-up, but the number of users who link a bank for the first time. That is what decides placements: a source that drives plenty of installs without producing connections does not last.
The creatives showcase the app’s different products and what each one brings to the user, which makes it possible to reach varied audiences. The aim is not downloads in volume, but qualified users who will genuinely use the app over time.
Results
Over one year, the campaign delivers 61,000 installs, and 15,000 users who go all the way through the journey: linking their bank.
- A continuous thread held since 2022, rather than a string of one-off campaigns.
- Delivery via RTB, across three formats: interstitial, square and MPU.
